Applesauce

Ingredients

4 apples ¾ cup water ¼ cup coconut sugar, or sucanat ½ teaspoon cinnamon

Instructions

1. Peel, core, and chop the apples.

2. In a saucepan, combine apples, water, sugar, and cinnamon. Cover, and simmer over medium heat for 30-40 minutes, or until apples are soft.

3. Allow to cool, then mash with a fork or potato masher to your desired consistency. If you prefer a smooth apple sauce, pulse in your food processor or blender.

4. Refrigerate and serve chilled.
