BBQ Meatballs

Ingredients

For the meatballs: ½ onion 1 ½ pounds ground beef 1 egg ¼ cup almond milk ¼ cup gluten-free breadcrumbs 1 ½ teaspoons sea salt, or to taste ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil For the sauce: 16 ounces tomato sauce ¼ cup brown sugar 2 tablespoons vinegar 1 teaspoon seasoned salt

Instructions

1. For the meatballs: Peel and mince onion.

2. Combine meatball ingredients and shape into meatballs (about 3 meatballs per serving).

3. Brown meatballs in olive oil in skillet. Once cooked through, remove excess fat from skillet.

4. For the sauce: Combine tomato sauce, brown sugar, vinegar, and seasoned salt.

5. Pour sauce over meatballs. Simmer over low heat 10-15 minutes, turning frequently until meatballs are well glazed.
