California Burgers

Ingredients

1 avocado 1 ½ pounds ground beef 1 ½ teaspoons sea salt, or to taste 1 ½ teaspoons garlic powder 1 ½ teaspoons onion powder ⅛ teaspoon ground black pepper, to taste 1 tablespoon avocado oil

Instructions

1. Peel, pit, and slice avocado.

2. Place ground beef in a large bowl; add salt and spices.

3. Using clean hands, combine the ingredients well and form into patties.

4. Cook on the grill set to medium high heat or to cook on stovetop, heat fat in skillet on high heat.

5. For either method, cook 3 minutes on the first side. Flip and cook for 3 minutes on the other side until medium rare, longer if you prefer the burgers well done.

6. Top with avocado and serve.
