Easy Pork Breakfast Sausage

Ingredients

½ teaspoon dried thyme ½ teaspoon rubbed sage 1 pound ground pork ½ teaspoon ground black pepper ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg ⅛ teaspoon red pepper flakes 1 teaspoon extra virgin olive oil, as needed

Instructions

1. Measure herbs in a small bowl.

2. Add ground pork to the bowl and mix everything together with your hands. Form links or patties.

3. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Add a small amount of cooking fat to skillet (if needed). Add sausage patties to skillet.

4. Cook on the first side for approximately 6 minutes, until you can see the meat cooking on the edges and the underneath looks a little browned. Turn.

5. Cover and cook on the second side for 6 minutes, or until cooked through (a meat thermometer should read 160F).
