Honey Garlic Drumsticks

Ingredients

1 inch fresh ginger 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil 1 tablespoon sesame oil ¼ cup tamari 2 tablespoons lemon juice 3 tablespoons honey 2 tablespoons minced garlic ½ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes 2 pounds chicken drumsticks

Instructions

1. Peel and grate ginger.

2. In a bowl, combine all of the ingredients except the drumsticks and mix well. Set aside.

3. If you have time, place the chicken in a ziptop bag, add the marinade, and refrigerate for as long as you can, up to 24 hours.

4. If baking straight away, add the chicken to the bag and massage them in the bag with the marinade for about 5 minutes.

5. Preheat oven to 375F.

6. Transfer the drumsticks and the marinade into a baking dish.

7. Bake uncovered for 45-50 minutes, until they are cooked through and browned or an internal temperature of 165F is reached.

8. Serve hot, with pan juices.
