Lemon Ginger Apple Chips

Ingredients

1 pound Pink Lady apple 2 lemons 1 tablespoon ginger juice

Instructions

1. Turn the apple on its side and with a very sharp knife slice the apple into 1/8 inch thick rounds so that the core creates a star shape in the middle.

2. Juice lemon. Add all of your slices to a bowl and pour lemon and ginger juice over the slices.

3. Stir so that all the apples become covered in juice. This will help them keep their pretty color and will give them a bright, light, zingy taste.

4. If using an oven, preheat to 200F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

5. Lay your apple slices out on baking sheet and place in preheated oven. Dry for 2-3 hours or until there is no more moisture and the slices are crisp.

6. If using a dehydrator, lay your apple slices out on dehydrator trays.

7. Set dehydrator to 150F and dry apples for 20 hours or until there is no more moisture and the slices are crisp.

8. If you plan to add your ginger apple chips to granola or trail mix, chop round slices into smaller pieces
