Magical Chili

Ingredients

1 onion 2 red bell peppers, or sweet peppers of choice ¼ pound mushroom 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil ½ teaspoon sea salt, plus more to taste 2 teaspoons minced garlic 1 teaspoon dried oregano ½ teaspoon cumin 1 tablespoon chili powder ¼ teaspoon ground allspice ½ teaspoon cinnamon 1 ½ pounds ground beef 14 ounces diced tomatoes 2 ounces tomato paste 2 cups beef broth, or chicken broth

Instructions

1. Peel and chop onion. Chop peppers and mushrooms.

2. In a large stockpot, sauté onions in fat and sea salt.

3. Add garlic and spices.

4. When onions are translucent, add peppers and mushrooms. Add ground meat.

5. Brown the meat over medium heat while breaking up finely with a wooden spoon.

6. Add tomatoes, tomato paste, and broth.

7. Adjust seasoning to your preference.

8. Serve immediately or allow to simmer for several hours to combine the flavors.

9. The chili can also be frozen once cool and reheated for a later date.
