Slow Cooked Caramel Apples

Ingredients

6 large apples ¾ cup coconut sugar ½ teaspoon sea salt ½ cup almond flour ¼ cup shredded coconut ¼ cup avocado oil 1 teaspoon vanilla ½ teaspoon cinnamon

Instructions

1. Peel, core, and cut apples into 2 inch pieces.

2. In a mixing bowl, combine two thirds of coconut sugar with apples and salt. Spread onto bottom of slow cooker.

3. Mix remaining ingredients with clean hands until well combined. Sprinkle over top of the apples. Cook on low for 4 hours, or high for 2 hours.

4. Turn off heat and let sit, covered, for one hour to let the caramel thicken.

5. Serve over chilled coconut milk, dairy free ice cream, or just on their own. Yum!
