Slow Cooker Maple Glazed Short Ribs

Ingredients

½ cup cane sugar 1 teaspoon ground sage 1 teaspoon ground thyme 1 ½ teaspoons sea salt ½ teaspoon ground black pepper ½ teaspoon ground ginger ½ teaspoon garlic powder ½ teaspoon maple extract, optional ⅛ teaspoon nutmeg 3 pounds beef short ribs ½ cup pure maple syrup

Instructions

1. Preheat slow cooker to high.

2. Mix all ingredient aside from the short ribs and maple syrup in a wide shallow bowl.

3. Rub each beef rib well with the rub. Place in a single layer in slow cooker.

4. Cook for 6-8 hours on low or until the meat falls easily off the bones.

5. To finish, preheat broiler of oven. Transfer ribs to a baking dish, without extra fat in the bottom of the slow cooker.

6. Drizzle ribs with maple syrup and place under broiler for about 3 minutes to crisp.
